This fall, Mint Eco Car Wash opens its sixth location, at Northlake and Coconut.
I want to say something about why we chose that corner, because it wasn’t a spreadsheet decision alone. We spend a lot of time watching how people actually move through this part of Palm Beach County — where they commute, where they run errands, where they get stuck in traffic wishing they’d taken care of something already. Northlake and Coconut is one of those intersections that quietly holds a neighborhood together. Building there means being part of the daily rhythm of people who live and work close by, not just catching cars passing through.
Opening a car wash is easy. Opening a *Mint* is not, and that’s on purpose.
Long before the doors open, we hire and train the team — not for a shift or two, but through a full pre-opening program that covers every department: the concierge team who greet you, the detail technicians, and the line team who move your car through the tunnel and finish it properly. We run the equipment. We wash our own cars. We make mistakes on our own time so we don’t make them on yours. By the time the first paying customer pulls in, that crew has already worked together for days.
We also hire locally. The people who will be taking care of your car at Northlake are, in most cases, your neighbors. That matters to how a store feels, and you can tell the difference within about thirty seconds of pulling in.
And the “Eco” in our name is not decoration. Our sites reclaim and recycle water, which means a professional wash here uses dramatically less fresh water than washing at home in the driveway — where the soap and road grime run straight into the storm drain. It’s one of the rare cases where the convenient choice is also the better one.
